Default Specs for ECT Sensor, please!

I suspect I have a bad one. It is reading -40F and 0 ohm and I have a "high output" code P0118. Everything points to the ECT, but I prefer to have specs for the sensor before I replace it.

Can anybody HBO?

I am underwhelmed. Guess I should have asked what coilovers I should use or what is the best HID kit on ebay.

What's HBO? Do you have a copy of the electronic Helms manual? You can pull the specs from that. I'll try to help you out since you're from Cbus and you apparently hate ricers as much as I do.

Here's a download link to the Helms manual:

What problems are you experiencing that makes you think it's the ECT sensor? Are you overheating?

HBO would be help a brother out.

I do tend to hate ricing, although it begs to be said that I have nothing at all against Japanese cars. I am a German car guy who has found himself working on Fiats and doing a K20 conversion on an X1/9. It should also be said that I equally abhor "krauters," which are German car owners who do the same stupid crap over and over to their cars in spite of the fact that they know that there will be thirty cars identical to theirs at the next show.

Thanks for the link. I have no manuals. I will try to get my boss to invest in some manuals for upcoming conversions, but we really need just a few pages from a manual for a 2002-4 and a 2005-6 RSX. More than 99% of the manual would be totally irrelevant for us for as far as the future can see.

Wow! If we do buy a manual, it darned sure won't be a Helms! A whole manual without a spec for the coolant temp sensor?! Just wow.

Sigh. Replaced the sensor. Opposite resistance--open at room temperature for new sensor--just as suspicious to me as closed. Precisely the same running problems and same code--P0118.
