Well, the problem i have is the light simply WILL NOT turn on when i open the door.. when i turn the switch on "on" it will turn on. but when i set the switch in the middle, and open the door, it will not turn on..

i looked at both door switches, and the connections, are fine.. what else could this be?

 

if you have the switch in the middle position and ground out the door switch wire, does the light turn on?

 

nope.. only if i turn the switch to on. other then that, no.

 

did you test the switch?
try a known good one, it's possible that the terminals on the dome light have corrosion or gunk on them. You could also just clean it.
Sometimes a blown fuse will cause weird interior lighting issues... Check fuse #12, it's a 15a.
