??????obx twin loop set up ????????
I'm a noob so plz don't give me hell. So i just bought a obx twin loop I'm wanting to put it on but i just don't know what set up to get so that it wont sound like killer bees or a fart cannon, raspy or just plain to loud. I have a high flow Magna-flow cat i believe it's 2.25 and i am also going to be buying some real Integra type R headers and the shop that is most likely going to do my piping(Eastside mufflers in palmdale,CA) from said that 2.25 piping is the way to go but should i get a longer resonator or just use the stock one? Is there anything else that would make a better set up in terms of making it functional and quiet? I've done research but most of the stuff that pops up is people question which never get answered just a bunch of random suggestion.
In a perfect world, you could try out all the combinations of piping, resonators, and mufflers to find the right sound for you. But most of us don't have that kind of time and money. So all you can really expect to get are peoples suggestions. Your best bet is to check out youtube for videos.
As mentioned already, many variables.....
I had a knock off twin loop installed on a B20Z civic hatch about 3 years ago, along with a header and custom 2.25" piping. In the B pipe section, i installed the longest magnaflow resonator i could fit in the car.....the result was amazing!!

Cat --->resonator----->muffler. If you want real quiet, run a long cherry bomb glasspack as your resonator. Go as long as you can get (about 28-30").
The reason those questions never get answered is because there are too many variables and peoples opinions are different. What's loud or ricey to you might be just right to someone else.
