Default searched dind't find ****

well i am wondering acouple things:

well i have a 96 DX hatch. i am wanting to know if anyone has pics of the difference or could tell em the difference of the 96-98 and the 99-00? like body wise?

because i am looking to getting the Cwest body kit and i am noticing for some reason the 99-00 looks nicer than the 96-98 body style or so it seems.

and for me to do a conversion i know i would need the headlights the fenders and teh front bumper and the hood but will they just bolt on or will i need to play with things a bit?

and if the car is different i am guessing i couldn't buy the whole 99-00 kit because that mean i would have to change the sides and the rear also? conversion wise

and am i just trippin or is the 99-00 differ from the 96-98.

and would it even look right? with basically the 99-00 front end and everything else the 96-98.

like i don't wan the car to look lob sided.

so anyone that can help me out please let me know i am goign to buy the kit very soon and i would like to know what the difference is.

thanx in advance

99 up has a different nose on it than yours and also taillights. fenders, bumper, hood and headlights are different.

Nothing is different about the taillights except for the white lens in the center. There's a clear lens for reverse on 99-00 hatchbacks kinda like the coupes. Looks just like CTR tail lights.

Yeah they look different, but if you ever tried to change from one style to another you will notice that the dam harness that plugs the lights in are different. Other than that they bolt up. Also the rear hatch is different between the 96-98 and 99-00. The 96-98 have the rear hatch release by the gas release, and the 99-00 have the door handle right on the back of the hatch. IMO the 96-98 headlights look better

the 98- has different bumper hl ect than the 2000, but the bodylines add up perfect, if you do the swap, order the bumper for an si, and the lps they look great on hatches. The conversion takes about 2 hours and everything went together fine on my buddies car. He ordered a carbon hood that costs about 450 after shipping and it looked great to. The differences in the back havenot been noticed with the exeption of he put his girls 2000 tals on and htey look awsome.
Hope this helps you out. Also you can pay honda 186.50 for the headlights or order real type r ones from import direct fro about 450 shipped.

Get the Civic Type R headlights with the front end like yours and they will fit your 1996 Civic. Just look really closely and you'll see the difference between the fronts on the first CTR and the newer ones - same way the 1996-1998 Civic and 1999-2000 Civic looks different here in the U.S too.

Just do a search and you will find an answer to all of these questions it's been covered many times and all of the differences too. To save you time, everything bolts up directly like it came from the factory like that, if you have everything (front end, fenders, hood, headlights, radiator support, grille, etc.) OEM Honda. Soul Racing sell great CTR HL replicas, but I would recomend real CTR ones better. You can buy a grille on ebay as well as a CTR or Si lip. All in all your looking to spend anywhere from $500-$800 if you buy everything brand new from honda so I would just suggest look around for 99-00 civics with body kits, after market HL and Z3 fenders and make them an offer for there OEM stuff. Good luck.
