Ohaiyo! Help with Project Savior
Hello Honda Tech community.
I would like to begin by stating that I have been wanting to buy a cr-x for a good bit of time for the past five years. I've always wanted this car but then here lands in my front yard a poorly maintained cr-x. It had been my dream to fix up a car and have it running by my own hands. I hope you guys can find some way to help me out.
I will try to describe the amount of work that needs to be done
the wires on the head of the engine are soldered together? o__o i dont think they're supposed to be like that
(on the topic of wires, the previous owner attempted to tuck the wires and lead the fuze box in the passenger floor. I think he did a very poor job)
One of my brake lines are broken(hoping to replace the whole thing.. i dont want to kill myself)
Apparently I need a new distributor for my vtec to work?
I have no idea what condition the engine or tranny is because i'm afraid of letting the car run for more than a minute. It stalls out and dies anyways.
a unusual cold air filter that is improperly put on the car. (I can take the foam end off.. how should i properly install?)
the hatch trunk door just falls down. No support on it.
the engine bay needs another one of those hood supports.
my headlights are coming apart.( unsure if they still work. will test soon)
fog lights are missing
the SI driver seat is not even attatched or securely bolted down? .___.
climate control is broken in half sitting inside the control housing thing in the center
missing a **** for the shifter
there is a engine knock.. eventually when i have everything situated and labeled. i hope to pull the engine out to see what the hell is going on in there.
I need to attatch the front engine mount that wasn't mounted.. I have it just need the proper bolt for it.
the bumper that was included OFF the car has all it's clips broken.. i saw some posts off people gluing washers to address this problem.
Passenger side front fender has a part cut out?? .... Will post pics of everything later.. you will understand
the exhaust is hanging in there but i think it needs a mount to be properly secured on the car.
I believe i need alot of extra nuts, bolts, screws, anything really!!!
I am hoping somebody on this forum has an old but still usuable part that I may still be able to use.
I am willing to take anything that would go with my 1991 CRX. Any help would be greatly appreciated even tips to what i should do. I can post pics of the engine bay, interior, exterior and even the underbody if anybody is interested in donating. PLEASE HELP MY BUILD. I will forever have you memorated. .___. this is my first manual car. I want to at least do enough to have it running! please help me with my project! Anybody who donates something will have their name written down and what they have contributed. I will keep full journal logs of what to do and hopefully have a blog to chronicle my endeavor to save this poor CR-X
please... xzibit.. or should I say Honda-Tech will you pimp my ride?!

Good luck with your crx, and check out some of the build threads on here to see what can be done.
hey low91
does the crx share "all" of it's part with four door and hatchback hondas?
i know you say all but i'm sure you mean most.
That's a really helpful hint
I already pieced that CRX is very similar to civic EF's, correct?
do you by chance knew model years and makes that are most similar to crx?
