Default D16A6 to zc sohc swap First Time

I've been around people that have done it and ive seen it being done but not completly.
i know its easy and can be done in a few hours i just have a few questions.

do i have to take the fork off to get the axle out and make it easier to take the motor out?
i have a 88 crx si n i only plan on swapping the motor but i want to take both tranny and motor down at the same time so i can clean the tranny n put it to the new motor.

first take off down pipe only or headers too?

loosen and unplug all connections.

loosen motor mounts put motor on one of those wooden things on wheels jack up car as motor comes out from bottom

then for the intall what do i do first? bolt up mounts starting from any one or is there a patterm?

please dont be smart its my first time and yes i know theres info out there but not specific enough for me to understand thanks

I've never dropped the motor and then lifted the car over it but to answer some of your questions i would go ahead and take the downpipe as well as the header off just to make it easier on yourself, after that there really isn't a pattern for undoing the motor mounts just make sure you have all your plugs/wire discounted as well as your shift linkage. As for putting the motor back in well its just the same as droping it. Also I personally have always just popped the axles out at the tranny and let them stay in the hub. It really isnt hard at all just getting over the mental part of it.

so pop one side or both? and when u say leave in the hub you mean by the disc where the 32 nut is right so whe motor is dropping it can jimmy off right. n whats better to clean the bay and tranny with engine cleaner, carb cleaner or brake cleaner they all seem the same to me but i think the break cleaner and i also have pb blast.

i always did both axles and yah i just left the axle bolted up to the 32mm. keep in mind though i lifted my motor out so if your lifting the car over you might have to do some persuading to keep it off the axles. As far as cleaning the bay i wouldn't suggest brake cleaner. I always used simple green, and alot of elbow grease. Hopefully someone who has more experience in dropping a motor will chim in here so i can make sure im not misleading you.

i think it would just be best if i took out thefront forks make life easier and spray the bolts with some pb blast and install is a breeze with the dirt etc off the bolt much easier to put in.

a flathead to unlock the 32 then remove the 32 on both sides and the the 2 bolts holding the for is it 19/17 or 17/17 after that pop out the axles and with the car up on stands pretty high enough to have clearance to move motor out

my guesstimate time for the job is a day if i start in the morning.

Sway bar question.

i took off my front tires and grabbed the front sway bar because i saw the bushings didnt look good and shook it. It moved a little bit so i was wondering what does it cause the car to do when the bushings are bad??

can go past certain speed because car shakes or whats the run down on how they work before and after replacing bushings thanks

If you can unbolt and remove the lower ball joint and then somehow get the knuckle to pull away and disconnect from the axle, then I guess you could just pull the axle over to the fork and see if the engine will clear when you drop it.
It really is just one bolt to release the shock fork though.
You will also have to remove the radius rods.

how does this hole oil pressure switch work??
my ride is leaking and theres oil on the top of my new oil filter so im assuming its my oil pressure switch.
i cant manage to take off my oil filter but my question is, if i replace the sensor doe it really need to be connected? i have a pressure guage in now but dont like it and its wired to the sensor like its not a plug or connector just kinda like a brake line and i dont like it my ride leaks nasssty so once i get the oil filter off ima taking it off i think its a size 10 but does anyone know what size is the actual sensor i was told 1n 1/16 i think i cant remember clearly but help me out my car is jacked up and looking for some answers thanks
