04 Civic Cassette Player
Hi guys, im new here. I have an 04 civic ex 5 speed 4 door. My question is, when I purchased the vehicle, it came with factory cd player and the bottom tray was deleted"put cd etc" but I also wanted to have the cassete player as well.
I know the cassette player was an option, but I'm wondering if I buy the cassette player separate(eBay), does it already have a harness plug for the cassete or I have to buy the harness adapter and plug it in(?) somewhere.
I google, search and there no exact answer to my question. I don't want to take it apart first unless I know what I need. Please help. Also the cd player is oem so as the cassette player
Thank you

If you're referring to this:

You will not need a jump harness from the tape player to the head unit.
(Installation instructions: http://www.handa-accessories.com/civic/04cdcass.pdf)
You can buy it brand new directly from a Honda parts supplier, like H&A Accessories: http://www.handa-accessories.com/civelec01.html

No harness needed, it's plug and play. There's a little plug on the back that plugs into the back of the main head unit.
Might be cheaper here: http://www.handa-accessories.com/civelec01.html

According to the installation .pdf that Matt provided, yes, you do have to remove the center console.
It's due to a design change, because the 2001 - 2003 models don't require the removal of the center console. (as seen in the instructions)
Anyway.. It's not hard to remove the center console. It should only take about five minutes.

K thanks lol cause I thought 01-03 would be the same step as 04-05 because I used to have an 01 civic and I never took out the center console just to change aftermarket head unit. Once again, thank for the help.
