Fans not working
Hey all replaced the radiator with a brand new one from Aeon and now my fans dont work
I cant find my test light so I was unable to test the socket for the fan relay but the fuses in the engine bay look good. however when I looked at the under the dash board fuse box I found a wire that connects into the available 1 of the 5 rows of available plug in connectors in that fuse box.
I followed the wire all the way out and it is spliced into both radiator fan connectors for some reason? I assume this is to make them turn on all the time? However the wire is corrded and wont pass current anymore.
Why would someone want to wire the fans in ALL the time and would this cause them not to turn on without that wire?

It's possible it was a "quick fix" because something in the rad fan circuit was not working.
What is the MM&Y of the car?
You said, "it is spliced into both radiator fan connectors" please explain, are there 2 rad fans, or do you have A/C and one is a condenser fan?
Are they stock, [OEM] fans or aftermarket?
Is it a stock, [OEM] rad?
You definatly need to get rid of that setup, it's dangerous, you could burn your car to the ground. 94

On a stock system, the rad fan will turn on when engine coolant hits about 192 degrees F, when A/C is on and head pressure hits around 150-175 PSI both the rad fan and the condenser fan will turn on.
With both fans running all the time the result will be over-cooling of engine coolant and improper A/C output.
Returning proper operation of the rad and condenser fans can only be a good thing. 94

neither fans are turning on and if i dont shut it off the temp will slowly creep up to overheating. Fuses check out, and im guessing though i cant find the diagram anymore that the fan relay in the engine bay is the one closest to the battery top right?
