hey guys, i just bought a 96 dx hatch, apparently it came from the factory no ac, i live in texas i need it!! lol i know ill need the basic ac compressor, belt, lines, but thats about all i know lol, i know a drier or accumulator o something maybe even another climate control with an ac button, i just understand where to go with all this electrical part cause it might not be wired for ac. can anyone please help! thanks!!!

Find a 96-98 Civic with same engine that has A/C and pull everything A/C related install in your car, done.

Your PicknPull has a 96 97 and a 98 Civic, one in Dallas, [8835 S Central Expressway]has two 96 Civics and the other one in Dallas, [5301 S 2nd Avenue] has a 96 and a 98, one of them will have A/C.

I bought my AC kit from HAP, everything bolted on. But make sure u buy new rubber seals and rubber gaskets in the pipe connections, it will prevent leak and headache later.

 

A friend of mine just pulled all the ac parts off his coupe for me he's going turbo lol. I bought this without air cause I just couldn't find an Ek hatch within my price range lol. Plus it's Midori so I'm happy and it's super bone stock. All I need to find now is another climate control that has the ac button, how do I get it wired to turn the compressor on and wire it to the fusebox lol so confusing!!!

what about the AC harness? where can that be acquired? not for the climate control but for everything in the engine bay like the condensor and what not

 

Find a 96 at your local PicknPull that has A/C and pull what you need.

okay, i've posted an ad on craigslist for people to sell me their complete ac stuff. got many replies but i need a parts list of what i will all need. i've been trying to look for the Honda Installation Instruction Guide for 96-98 Air Conditioner Assembly Install but i cant seem to find the PDF. since the ac kit is now discontinued i have to go this route. if anyone has had any experience on installing this lemme know what i all need, as in a parts list, or if you have the link to the install guide that'd be even better. only found the install guide for the 99 one but that link is dead now and a 99 accord. i know the part number is 80000-S04-A10 or A11.

yea true, ive read this one before and the 99 civic one. the parts list on that thing consists of lots of things i bet i wont even be able to get from another car. most people just sell the compressor, lines, condensor, etc, all the big stuff. i appreciate it man but wish i could find the damn 96-98 manual! lol

 

do you all think i would already have the necessary stuff under the dash? whats it called the evaporator housing?

 

You will not have the evap. housing, you will have a short piece of duct work where evaporator and housing goes.

Any links for the electrical? I have all the parts diagrams from parts sites, just can't seem to find the wiring from the engine compartment inside the cabin.

 

i am having issues with the same type of car, a midori hatch without ever having ac, i got the 2 relays by the battery and i have the components installed and the only problem is i cant get the fan to turn on so the ac works as long as i drive over 40 mph, my mechanic said it had to be wiring issues and on my 96 i cant find the power relays described near the condenser on a 95, any hints?
