Default V-band downpipe doesn't flex enough at flex joint, ideas?

I've got a car that runs a setup with about 450-500whp and lots of traction help.

The motor does flex some even with very nice uprated motor mounts.

I have a flexpipe/bellows in my downpipe about 3 feet down from the turbo.

Constantly the downpipe will rub/tap the firewall either due to not enough flex or poor design of my custom downpipe or poor assembly of it to the rest of the exhaust.

What happens is it loosens the V band right at the turbo and causes a huge exhaust leak. Then I have to take an hour cussing/swearing and reconnect all that crap.

I'm not beyond running the downpipe out the hood or the passenger fender.

Ideas?

Maybe you should have your downpipe re-done - if its hitting the firewall, someone messed up the angles of the pipe when welding it ....
