Icon2 4k rpm shifting good or bad

Well I have put a new jdm d15b vtec engine in to my car. It has all new seals and gaskets all the way around. And a rebuilt dx tranny with 1k mils on it so far. A 8lb flywheel with a stage 1 clutch. I'm still using my p06 ecu so no vtec. I have been driving this car slow and shifting at 3-4k rpms and driving around in 5th as much as I can.

I want to know if this is good or bad for my engine. I can tell from driving like this that I don't go through as much gas at all lol.

I would just like some imput.

Thats what you call normal driving lol! Shouldnt be bad for the engine at all, should be driven like that till its broken in 500 miles

I would not drive around with an incorrect ECU. So, IMO, it's not smart to rev it at all.

You took the time to do all the gaskets and seals, clutch and flywheel. Treat yourself and this car right - get the proper computer for it.

I usually shift around 3k rpm anyway. It's a good friend to your wallet.

That's to be debated.

I try and shift around 3500rpm (d15b7) as far as break in I've always babied then beat the **** out of it. Like said before everyone breaks in differently. 4k should be fine but like mentioned get the proper ecu bro!!!
