Default someone help tranmision removal 2003 civic

i know you can take the 5 speed transmission from up top but i have a auto transmission im doing
and it looks very tight.

has anyone taken the trans from the top i dont feel like taking the sub frame off or the whole engine out to take a trans out

ive taken the thermostat housing off and i have nopt attempted to take the trans off yet in case someone had a similar problem

i wish not because that will be a pain in the *** without a hoist. ive done it before on different cars. im not in the mood to take it out the bottom.

hopefully someone has taken it from atop

well i dropped the subframe bullshit. id never buy a civic post 2000 its all garbage to work on.
i can take my 00 ex trans out in 2 hours by myself with no hoise

Civics are easy, if you don't like working on a Civic then you've chosen the wrong hobby.

yeah civics that were pre2000. the newer ones are one of the cars id never work on or own. id rather work on a land rover than this.

trust me Ive worked in a shop long enough to know cars.
ill get anything done on any car but that doesn't mean i like doing it

just in case everyone goes through this ordeal again which i think is pretty common since these transmissions are all junk. its not p;possible to take it from the top i tried turning it and rotating it. but theres not nearly enough room even after taking the thermostat housing off.

We have done twice different 01 civic auto and you Have to drop the sub frame. It was pain in the ***. No room from the top.

i just replace my tranny a few months ago and I had to take it from the top but I had to take the engine too.... not enought room to just take the tranny ....
