getting oil out of exhaust after turbo failure
Has anyone cleaned out there exhaust system after oil pushed past the seals on a turbo? My oil scavenge pump broke the power wire and stopped pumping the oil back into the oil pan. The car ran for maybe 3 minutes that way, but the oils smoke completely covered all four lanes of the highway.
Only thing I’m thinking is drop the exhaust system and pump gasoline through the pipes and muffler.

wouldnt hurt to actually clean it out. this just happened to a car i worked on a few weeks ago. ebay turbo blew the seal and sent oil all through the exhaust. put a new turbo on but the car was still smoking a lot until the exhaust was cleaned
Hit the 2-step
Sometimes I get small critters and animals, like dogs, racoons, etc.. stuck inside the exhaust on my Supra, and I hit the 2-step to shoot them all out rather quickly...
There isn't any good method to get oil out... I usually run the car on the dyno with a, exhaust duct to avoid smoking out the shop, and then cruise the car at mid load at around 4000RPM.. That's when EGT's are nice and hot, and the exhaust should burn off most of the oil in about 30 mins.

looks like it is going to be a smokey, stinky mess. The pump isn't to blame, I just didn't have a good solder joint on the power wire.
