Hi guys this is just a information gathering thread wanted to find out the following bits of info:

-how desirable is a bare RHD JDM ITR DC2 in champ white bare shell in the US?

-how much do they go for out there? In the UK generally about £500.00 GBP ($796.787 USD) is this achievable

-has anyone had any experience with this type of thing before? i.e. time frames of freight, costs of shipping? companies that deal with this?

-any other information or things I need to look out for? I may have a contact in the US I can possibly ship it out to and then put it in his hands to sell out there.

sorry if the information is a bit vague but as I mentioned, I have not properly looked into it as of yet and just gathering information/opinions on it.

 

Desirable? As a novelty item, maybe. But no one's going forgo buying a USDM ITR for a JDM shell of one. They might as well just buy a JDM front clip, do a RHD swap, and change the interior and call it a day. Plus, it would still be US road legal.

Not trying to be cocky, but I know exactly what you need to do in order to ship a shell into the states.

 

I would most definitely buy a shell if it was brought stateside. I don't even care about registration, this will be a dedicated track *****! The only interior I need is the dashboard.

 

I still don't know exactly how to ship to the US at the moment, but it looks to be costing me more to ship it than it would be to sell it out there, so doesn't seem economically viable at the moment. Will get in contact with whoever has PM'd me if anything goes ahead and update this thread.
