i have a 98 civic d16y8, i have fuel going to the rail but injectors wont spray, i check the ground on the injector it is grounded until i turn the key over then its gone, if i manually ground the injector it will spray and will start to run but real rough. i already checked all fuses and replaced main relay and ecm any advice?

 

Is there continuity to body ground at ECU connector terminals A10, A23, A9, and A22?

 

yes the car was running good then just shut off,

 

could it possibly be an ignition switch?

 

Did you use a multimeter to do the tests I mentioned? If so, what resistance did you measure at each terminal?

Is there spark at the plugs?

 

i didnt write it down car is in garage can post tommorow, yes there is spark

 

if theres spark wouldnt that eliminate a bad ignition switch

 

Focus on retesting those terminals of ECU connector A. That's where the problem likely lies.

A bad ignition switch would NOT cause the problem you are having.

 

also when i turn the car over there is a interment clicking noise from the ecm could that be anything

Less than 100 Ohms. Do you know how to do a continuity to body ground test?

Disconnect the battery. Unplug ECU connector A. Set the multimeter to measure resistance (20 or 200 Ohm scale) or continuity. Touch one meter probe to the metal frame under the dash and the other meter probe to one of the four indicated ECU terminals.

 

I. Have no geound in any of the terminas. You said I get ground from 2 4 6 13 14
