clutch promblem

Icon2 clutch promblem

ok i got a 91 civic si with the obd0 b16 swap no i put in a stage 4 6pad clutch from competition cluch i even upgraded the flywheel an some arp flywheel bolts,and a new clutch cable (gsr one)..

the issues im having is that when i try to engage the clutch the pedal feels too soft it gose in gear but as soon as u lift your foot off the jerks foward hard but im sayin like inch & half an if u get on the car she wont switch gears u have to drop rpms down i dnt knwo if the clutch isnt sittin rite or its the cable or the cable bracket on the tranny could it be the release fork spring is bad or broken an wer can i buy one

to answer your one long sentence, I need to ask you questions. Did you use a clutch alignment tool when putting in your clutch disc/cover and aligned it properly? did you adjust the clutch cable after installing it?

The clutch cable could be too long. If I remember correct you use a DA clutch cable, not a GSR. If the cable was too long, then it would stay engauged and soft.

P.s. If it is the clutch cable DO NOT buy a aftermarket cable. Only buy a OEM Acura cable, I had problems for years from a **** cable.

Sounds like a 6-puck to me... but for shifting in higher RPM your cable sounds misadjusted. Why didn't you use the stock one - it works fine.

so should i buy the ls cable
