2 weeks ago I installed a strut kit on the front of my 1996 Honda Accord Lx on both drivers and passenger side. This was to replace a spring noise I could hear on the passenger side. After replacing them I now have a squeak on the drivers side (it sounds like a bird) when I am going over a bump or just driving down the road. It is not constant but happens a lot and is getting rather annoying. I also still have that spring noise on the passenger side. Does anyone have any ideas? Someone said I may need to grease something but I wanted some advice. I would appreciate any help.

what kind of struts and springs did you get? and ya i would go with the grease.

 

They are Monroe's. Do you know where I would actually grease?

 

Are you sure you properly torqued down all your components? Did you torque them when the suspension was loaded? Check the sway bar bushings and endlinks they may just need some grease.

 

Do I use a special grease or just something I can get at the AutoZone?

 

A light coating of chassis grease will be fine.
