took transmission apart, don't have a 3rd gear?
Pulled my B16 transmission out of my civic to replace the clutch and some bearings.
Basically tore the whole thing down to replace the input shaft bearing, but found out I was given the wrong bearing so I just put it back together without changing it.
I left all the gears on the shafts, but when I was trying to get them to go back in I accidentally popped the top gear set on the mainshaft off. Didn't press it or anything, just kinda put it it back together and reassembled the transmission.
I was instructed to take the shift fork off too and put grease on it, but I couldn't get it off so I just left it.
Now my car is really hard to get into third, especially when I punch it. All the other gears are fine, just third. Can anbody give me some suggestions?
