1) AEM guys have been using both from what i see... Been reading that IOGEAR has driver issues though, has it been fixed?

2) Also anyone have experience using both ?

3) Any other options that work out there ?

4) Any user feedback ?

Parallax has one for $15. It uses FTDI drivers so it's very stable.

Yes, I've used that one personally with AEM and I use that specific module for TunerView connectivity to AEM as well.

 

I personally use the iogear one. Been using it forever and no problems whatsoever with an of the software.

Yup. The TunerView RD 1 works with AEM v1 or v2.

 

What version of windows were you running?

 

It works fine in XP and 7, various different builds of each.

 

Thanks! I've tried another adapter, with Vista, and it failed. Everything connected and worked just fine until about 10 seconds after the car was started, the laptop bluescreened on me every time.

I'll give this adapter a shot, and if it doesnt work maybe its time to get rid of Vista

 

Generally FTDI stuff works ok with Vista... but Vista has its own set of issues.
