Icon2 99 civic rough idle on start up

I have a 99 civic dx with auto trans. Problem I'm having is after the car is warm and you turn it off, wait 5-45 minutes then turn the car back on it will idle fine but if you try to give it gas it wants to stall. You have to fight it to get up to about 2500 rpm and if you can get it up to 2500 rpm it'll run perfect after that until you turn it off again. I had an intake, exhaust, and headers when the problem started. Since then I've added the following thinking it might fix the problem but no luck yet. Walbro 255 fuel pump, ngk plugs, vms 10.2mm plug wires, msd cap and rotor with external ss blaster coil. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Within a week, swapping out the 190cc stock y7 injectors for 240cc y8 injectors and looking for an adjustable fpr to see if that will change anything.

Return the fuel pump, injectors, and distributor to stock. Any CEL codes?

No cel codes. The problem was going on for 6-8 weeks before I decided to swap out the pump, cap, and rotor. Haven't put injectors in yet, tried swapping everything to stock 2 weeks ago and same result.

I will try cleaning out the IACV though. How difficult/time consuming is that and whats the best way to clean it?

96 and on do not have the IACV.

Since you went back to stock I would try to go through the idle relearn process.

bahaha. k now be serious......

yes 96-00 civic have a IACV, how do u expect him to do an idle relearn when it calls to unplug the IACV??

anyways if its a y7 then its in the throttle body, if its a y8 or b16 it will be on the back of the intake manifold

cleaning the IACV isnt that bad but can be a pain on y7's

good luck
