IDLE PROBLEM
I have a 92 civic equipped with ls-vtec just swapped. Car starts up fine, idles around 1,5ish when it cold starts and 800-900ish when it idles. My only problem is that when i tap on the gas it stalls to 200rpm or so and sometimes goes back to normal or sometimes it creeps up another hundred so. And also when i get off first gear it struggles so i have to give it more gas and burn some clutch to get it going. But sometimes it dies getting off gear. Tried cleaning the IACV but no help. Any suggestions? Oh and also if it helps i capped of the FITV, cause i heard you dont need it?
^?????????????
Check for vacuum leaks. If none, then your IACV may just be old and need to be replaced. If you have a friend with a good known one you can try then that would be a good way to eliminate it..... Check your tps also. Make sure it is within tolerance.

Replaced IACV, still the same problem. Changed the pressure regulator made little of a difference but still drops but hardly dies, maybe injectors are dirty? ima try to sea foam this bad boy tmrw and change wires and plugs.

Only code I have is 41, o2 sensor. Haven't checked timing yet but I think it's the culprit to this problem because it backfires a bit when I drive it. Will let you guys know about it tmrw. Thanks for the suggestions!
A good way to check for vacuum leaks is to get a can of carb cleaner and spray around the vacuum hoses while the engine is running. When you spray carb cleaner near a vacuum leak, the Idle should go up like you hit the gas. Since you have an idle problem, just take it slow and maybe hit every spot a couple times to make sure the idle is reacting to the carb cleaner.
