I have a few on my sedan except this one. Never tought of it but remember its only as good as the placement of the switch. You dont want to be reaching around for it EVER. Some thieves tend to watch from a distance for this sort of thing. Try to place it somewhere where you can casually reach it. Avoid the typical under dash location. Another thing to do after you install it is have friends to try to turn your car on. If they figure it out, relocate it. If they fail I suggest you dont tell them where it is, it makes you thats much cooler. -.-'
I cant say much as how and where to put them because the internet is 'open' to anyone so I dont want to ruin it for people who are clever enough to add there own kill switches on various parts of a cars ignition system.

Ya I do but I'm not willing to say on the forum. Also I think most of the ones I have work best on automatic.

Reed switches and latching relays can be fun.

I saw a hatch that had an edm rear fog light switch in but no rear fogs. The car would not start with this switch off. I'm not sure how it was done exactly but it wouldn't be too hard. Not many people would think to flick a fog switch if they couldn't start the car.

Well now that you gave some of the info away ... Ya that is one of my ways of hiding the killswitch. Use 'oem' switches..

This is just one of those things you dont talk about much. Its up to you to brainstorm your own switch.
Everyone plays with themselves but you dont go around telling other people. Yup I went there.

Two way Alarm system. Starter kill. Tilt sensor. Exrra shock sensor and proxy sensor. Kinda makes it hard to steal your car but still doable. For added protection hard wire in a cell phone charger and keep the phone plugged. have the imei number activated and just hide it somewhere. If your car is stolen just call the police and cell phone company that phone was with and they will track the phone. Thats car gps for 5-10 bucks a month

you can put a switch on almost anything...besides the fuel pump, you can put one on the distributor, ecu, main relay, etc.
i would go so far as to hook it up to a relay that's connected to a keyless entry. you lock the car and the kill is armed, unlock to drive.

that was a nice write up, and i LOL'd at the comments people were posting.

since i have some free time on my hatch, im going to do two switches.
now my question is, instead of completing the circuit with the second prong, you run a wire from that second prong to one on the other switch, then connect a wire from the leftover prong to the fuel pump wire finishing the circuit...

am i right?

The ELD is basically the fuse box in the engine.

So many places to put them....

12v to the fuel injectors
trigger to the fuel injectors from ecu
12v to the coil
Coil trigger from ECU
12v to the fuel pump
5v to the map/tps
either of the distributor signals (TDC, crank position)
main relay (supply or trigger)

i made a electronic key for my crx and its pickproof and yankproof (if the dumb jackass thinks yanking the interface out is going to make **** work then that sucks for him) and i have 2 relay triggers for the Main relay (fuel injector wire) and one for the ecu. and its backed by 2 fuses incase the bastid wants to get smart and try jumping **** on the connector (i placed intentional grounds there so if he bridges the 12v input to the ground POP good luck looking for the hidden fuses mother****er). its something i sat on for six months thinking about. its better than the killswitches. and starter disables are ****ing silly. you can do a relay on the thermostat ground LOL my dumbass learned that the stupid and hard way "just replaced the thermostat and seal around it and didnt torque the ground down. comin down the hill and ecu keeps rebooting and going a very faint check engine light. car wouldnt start back up. had to push it back to the house to figure out wtf happened LOL. the thermostat ground is a good method of attack. ecu will become ungrounded if u disconnect that
