I am in the midst of doing a mild wire tuck on my eg hatch, and at one point I saw no other option but to cut the wires on the driver side by the firewall (closest to the hood), and I do not have access to a soldering gun so for now I twisted the wires together, each with their own colour. BUT, now my passenger corner light doesn't work at all, and my drivers side headlight shines dim, while the other one shines bright. As you can imagine, I will get pulled over for this. Why did this happen? I did not mix up any of the wires.

 

Poor contact. Solder the wires.
