Ok so before anyone bashes me on this, i did search for this with no luck on this exact issue...

I recently built an Ls/vtec and added all the 92 civic ac parts( all Brand new fresh parts) I got the system installed and charged by a local shop.

The Ac runs perfectly 100% all of the time, no idle issues, NADA! The problem that i noticed is when the system runs full blast for about 2 hours, i get issues of the car stalling (only when coming to a stop). SO for instanace it will only stall if i let the RPM's drop from anything over 1500rpm to 800rpm (stall). If i ride it out all the way down to 1000rpms before pushing the clutch in (no stall)

So my motor cant handle the high drops in rpm while coming to a stop while ac is on under hot conditions. WHy??

Could this be happening because of my 12 lbs flywheel?? or is this something else?? Anyone had this issue??

More annoying than a problem i guess... any help would be much appreciated!

 

The only thing that come to mind is maybe check out your idle air control. It may need to be cleaned or replaced to help slow your rev's to help prevent stalling. Yes, a lightweight flywheel, does add to your problem a little bit

 

Yeah thats what i was thinking aswell, just wanted another opinion.

Does the condenser fan run? What are the high and low side pressures when you have the idle problem?

 

Yeah the condensor fan runs constantly, as for the pressures i have no idea. I will have to go back to the AC shop and have them test it. Any idea on what they should be??
