Default Running a nonchipped p28 with b16a2 eg swap

Can I run my 94 civic cx with b16a2 swap with a nonchipped p28? I know it will have a rev limit but will the car drive around and idle normally without any problems? I don't have enough to get it chipped yet.

I would use a b16 ecu. Just get a p30 or even p72, P2T will work also. You might run into some problems with a p28.

will it run....Yes
Is it advisable.....NO
But hey it's your engine and $$$$$

JDM OBD1 P30 ECU's are fairly inexpensive and is the right ecu for your chassis, assuming you used a OBD1 or OBD2 integra engine harness, since you want to run a P28, it's safe to say you stayed OBD1

I'm using a obd2 integra harness. Right now I'm running with a p75 ecu.

In my opinion, I wouldn't run the engine/car with the wrong ecu. Just wait until you can get the proper ecu or a chip with P30 maps. But that's my .02 cents worth

To socket and chip a Vtec Ecu is around $50-$70 dollars. Non-Vtec add $50 more. He burn you a base map with basic bolt-ons,
