cracked engine block?
Hey everyone. I'm in the process of replacing a blown head gasket on my 91 Accord f22a1 as well as replacing the belts and water pump. I was set to complete the timing belt job when i noticed these lines on the front of the engine block.. are these cracks in the engine or is it normal for the engine to look like this? blown head gasket was a result of engine overheating (cracked radiator hose). I know, newb question but I'd really appreciate any feedback - don't want to waste my time finishing everything if it's not worth it. Thanks!

As mentioned those are casting flaws. FYI, that is the oil pump housing, so even if they were cracks you could replace the housing, it's bolted to the block.
