At a full stop, car hesitates when I step on the gas
I have 91 DA
So ya, when I first start up, at a full stop, the motor hesitates or bogs when I step on the gas. The motor does not shut off. After that short episode, the engine will not do that again after a good long drive.
Also at idle, the needle drops nearly to 0 but the engine never shuts off. After about 2 to 3 seconds, the needle goes back to normal idle. Again, after I drive it for a while, it won't drop like that until I start to drive it again the next day.
Do you think a stuck throttle body will cause this? Can it be dirty or something?
Or is it something else?

motor hesitation and bogging is usually caused by something in the ignition system..check everything: condition of spark plugs, spark plug wire resistance, cap and rotor condition. make sure the rotor screw didnt come off! my friends car bogged on acceleration and found out the screw came loose which caused the rotor to be loose thus not creating a good spark. if all those are good...check the output of the icm and coil. good luck
since your car is a 91, wouldnt hurt to clean throttle body.. generously spray some carb cleaner on a ragg and clean the area where the butterfly sits closed.
