Default Need help identifiying these cams

Got some free B-series cams from a friend because he recently sold his GSR, problem is, we dont know what type of cams they are.... He says theyre Edelbrock stage2 cams... I didnt even know Edelbrock made cams for Hondas lol.

Stamping on the front of the cams is 'EL 4731', hopefully someone will find it familiar and can help me figure out what kind they are. They look big, so they might very well be Stage2's. Ill try to get pictures soon.

Thanks!

Only pics I got, took em with my phone, sorry for the quality.

All I had to compare them too were stock LS cams, so I cant compare the vtec lobe to anything :\

LS Non-vtec cam is on bottom

i found this:

NON-vtec edelbrock cams are apparently part #4730...

EDIT: here's more... apparently 4730 is a vtec cam, too?

hmm, you think the EL 4731 stamp is the same as a 4730 cam? unless the 4731 is a discontinued set of cams?

Im online looking for more info on edelbrock vtec cams now, cant find anything as of now..

I say measure the cam lobes. Then find specs on either GSR cams, B16 cams, and even Type R cams. If its bigger then either, then install them. If smaller, lol.

I plan too, lol, just hope theyre not TOO big and destroy my valvetrain. Hopeing to find more info on them, i will probably call edelbrock when I have a chance and see if they can help me out.

1 more question... How do I get rid of the surface rust on them? lol

Fine grit sand paper or green scotch brite, and some brake cleaner.
