Default When in the year is a good time to get a paint job?

Should I get my Prelude painted now, and let it sit through winter? Or should I wait until spring?

Will the paint not cure correctly in cool weather?

I say wait until spring....I don't think the paint will sit right in cold weather, but I could be wrong

Hmmm, how long does it take a typical paintjob to cure? Shouldn't it be good right out of the shop?

At any decent body shop, they bake the car after it's painted anyway. Curing in winter isn't an issue.

That's what I figured...but he does live in MN. I say wait til after the frost...which would be around what? June, July? (j/k, I used to live in MN and WI) And it snows 10 months out of the year up there.

Well, I guess it makes sense. It shouldn't matter what time of the year to get it painted.

The bodyshop is doing the paint work has a life-time warranty against paint fade or cracks. So I guess they'll just have to repaint it if it gets screwed up sitting through winter.

Then again, I would hate to see a new paint job sit over winter. Guess I'll wait until spring.
