Default b16a turbo advice

so i have just about all the parts i need for my car. now it's time for the motor. i have a b16 w/ skunk2 im and a 68mm str tb. i was contemplating building a b20 vtec but i def dont have the money for that so now i'm thinking about just turboing my b16. i want to get around 275-300 hp at the crank with a turbo that spools pretty fast. It's auto and 7k is about all it'll ever see. anyone have any advice?

honda/acura auto trannys hate alot of power. thats the reason they run manuals when drag racing.

I know auto trans hate hp. I'm paralyzed so I'm stuck with an auto. Ive done my research and talked to plenty of people running boosted automatics. Everyone basically says that autos will put up with around 200 whp. Thats why I want around 275 hp at the crank cause with Honda autos loosing around 30% to the wheels it set me around the 200 mark

Keep it small to be as responsive it you can with the gearing. Assuming you've addressed the torque converter issue, and you want to use a journal bearing turbocharger. the Garrett GT3251, PTE 5431, 5557, and even the T3/T04e 50 trim all can work well for street use. If this is for drag racing, the sky is the limit. All of the examples I listed can also be in ball-bearing cartridge as well.

if you get a small turbo like a Garrett/Airesearch T3 Turbo T03 .42/.48 it will spool around 2300rpm you can make some quick power before the 7k.
