Default 92-95 Climate Control Relocation…*possible?

Did some searching and I can not find anything so I'm resorting to asking.

QUESTION: Is it possible to fit/relocate the climate control in the single din slot below it and put the cup holder in the spot where the climate control is by default?

I have the same cup holder…*but having both cup holders in use and trying to adjust climate controls is a PITA. Searched google/honda-tech and couldn't find any threads or pics stating/showing that it is/isn't possible

Because I've never seen anyone do it. You should be able to swap them around BUT Without looking at my manual it's just a guess. If you can relocate the radio I don't see why you can't do the climate control if the wires and cables are long enough. I've seen the CC or deck relocated to the bottom audio console before on 6th gens.

I have replaced the fan switch before. I don't think there is enough room behind the controls to fit the cup holder in its place

I initially wasn't even going to ask and just do it, but as I'm deciding to keep my car I figure I might as well have it the way I want it and see if anyone else has gone through it before I waste my time on the impossible… (or extremely customizable)

In doing some searching I noticed pictures of EMPTY dins (both the climate control and radio din) and are the same size on the face, but inside the OE radio din has like a lil lip inside there… so i didn't know if that would inhibit the ability to place the CC in the OE radio din and then…

seems like i may be the ginny pig on this operation

I did see as well someone relocated their CC to the optional audio console area, but they switched out to the integra CC and in the OE CC/radio din area, they custom fit a double din in-dash screen/dvd something…

It doesn't fit. You could probably make it fit, but it's going to require some cutting and bodyfill to make the bezel look normal. If you're drinking out of bottles you can jam them between the e-brake handle and the seats. If you're drinking out of cans or dixie cups then you kinda need cup holders.

Cool i'd like to see the pictures of how it looks now that you relocated you're cc. How much slack did you have and did you have to cut any wires?

I'm trying to relocate my cc and eliminate my head unit, and use that free space for an ipad mini in-dash installation kit. I plan to use a parrot mki9000 and a rockford fosgate 3sixty.3, along with the ipad mini - to replace my head unit.

Is it possible to move the cc to an even lower location like under the cup holder area or over near the glove compartment or anywhere away from where else?
