AC issue, blower cuts off intermediately, 96 accord
as stated the blower has started to cut off by itself whenever it feels like it and then will start back when its ready. i have tried to replace the switch in dash ac cluster and pulled the blower motor and tested with 12v source and it cuts on/off fine. i have tried to find a diagram showing the wire schematic to try to trace out the wires but no luck. is there a relay or something in between the switch and blower motor? any ideas what to check? newb to electrical wiring and at a brick wall as to what to do next. thanks for any help.
When it stops working....check for voltage at the wires....or give the motor a slight "tap"....does it spin....if so the motor is going.
thanks i will try to find that, i have tested the blower motor, and swapped a known good one in, i also swapped the control on the dash. this resistor sounds like my problem.
replaced resistor and did not fix, anyone know what i should check next? the wire harness? if so what/how do i check? thanks

My Accord fan is doing the same thing. I have one other issue: The primary radiator fan quits working at the same time. The only thing I can think it could be is a loose or dirty ground somewhere.
Does anyone know where to check ground connections on the Accord?

The grounds under the hood are a good place to start. A. Make sure they are clean. B. Make sure they are tight. And C. If the wire coating is pulling back on the grounds, replace them. Also remember that corrosion isn't only on the surface, it runs through the wire as well.

I had this problem with my 99 Golf GTI. When I went to replace the actual blower motor (under glovebox) I discovered my blower motor wasn't screwed in fully, the screw was only hand tight, whether from factory or someone before me! Worth a try when your in there looking for the resistor.
