it's a stock d16z6 engine, so what knock am i hearing? i don't think its intake gasket leak because i took carb cleaner to it and the idle didn't change

 

Hope it's not a rod. Sounds like a nasty valvetrain, have you checked the oil? It sounds just like a car with no oil in it

 

yeah the oil is good

 

take the VC off to check for anything out of the ordinary diffinatly sounds like real bad valve tap... doesnt sound like the bottom end

 

ok so i just got done adjust valve lash and nothing happen still sounds the same, i loosen the nut and for intake side i use .008 feeler gauge and .010 for exhaust side, i got it tight enough to were it was kind of hard to move the feeler gauge around and then tighten the nut and check again after words, their is also oil up with the valves springs so i don't think theirs blockage and everything looked good.
