code 9 problem after putting a built head on
i just got done putting a fully built head on with adjustable cam gears. i set them at 0 both of them. started it up and threw a code 9. so i adjusted my dizzy a bit and it went away after i reset it in my s300. only problem is that i marked my dizzy before i removed it to ensure i put it back in the same place. would that mean that my timing is off? do i have to set my cam gears at a different degree? it has stock cams in it because they are good for my turbo setup. so i don't think that should have to be degreed.

If the head was milled or the head gasket is a different thickness that could change the cam timing. How much did you have to move the distributor?
The car is obd2. The harness is my stock obd2 harness. H23 bottom end fully built and sleeved. The head is ported, 5 angle, comp valve springs and ferrea stainless valves. Skunk2 gears. Headgasket was OEM. I'm not sure if the head was milled. I didn't ask the machine shop if it was milled. I bought it off someone and had to work done to it. He said he didn't have to deck the head. But who knows if the previous owners have. The car doesn't run rough at all. I'm assuming if I opened it up that the car would bog and not want to take off. It didn't have that problem. Also, the head seems to have some chatter. Is that normal for pro series valvetrain? These springs are rated at 86lbs seats so they are pretty beefy.
your timing is off (most likely the exhaust cam) or the cylinder position sensor in the distributor is messed up.
you cant "adjust" an OBD2 distributor anyway.
