Default help/tips intercooler pipe

i've got everything installed, last thing i need is the intercooler piping. what i am going to do is order the piping i need online. this is the first time I've done this so any tips or help will be appreciated. first, do any of you have a good way to determine what pipe your going to need before you buy it? i have an idea of what pipes i need, but i want to make sure that they will work before i order them. do they ends need to have the beaded edge on them in order to stay connected? if i have to cut the end off, can i just connect with the silicone coupler and not have to worry about them blowing off?
any other words of wisdom that will help me do this right, with little aggravation would be great.
thanks
Joe

that pipe doesn't quite fit my car. i was going to use a 2.0" to 2.5" 90degree coupler going from the turbo, straight pipe to a 180 which should mount to the intercooler. on the other side i'm going to need possibly a 180 which will mount to my AEM. i just need to verify this before i buy the pipes. although if i can get a kit that includes the charge pipe to the throttle body for that price, it would be nice too, so i wouldnt have to weld the BOV to my AEM.

Pipe with the beaded ends will work well and not blow off as easily as pipe without beaded ends. However as long as you use tbolt clamps and not worm type there should be no issues with either u choose. Another tip if u experience blowing them out you can try and it has worked for me is before assembling each coupler together spray hairspray on the ends of the pipe or in the coupler then assemble. When it dries it acts like glue but is easily taken apart by hand and helps keep you from blowing them apart.

i had a fabricator take a look, and he was going to charge me 550 to do the piping (using my AEM) as well as weld a bung on my oil pan, weld flange on downpipe, and weld flange for BOV.
does that sound a bit pricey to you guys? thats why i figured i would do the piping myself, i'm still going to need to get the welding done. i'm wondering if i at least get the piping where it needs to be, and then have it welded, if that might save me some money.

after adding up the numbers, if its going to fit, it will be worth the money, especially since i wont have to buy the flange or have it welded.
thanks for the link.
