Default Accord tranny on an H22?????

How will this combo work. I have a 98 type SH motor and tranny, but can't use the tranny because of the ATTS garbage. I can get an accord tranny not sure about a prelude. How do the gears campare between the both and dose anyone have this combo???? Like which one has the shortest and longest gears.

I need to know ASAP please help!!!!

accord tranny sucks....dont even think about using it with a h22...bad bad idea. if you need a cheaper tranny get a h23 one

Umm the SH engine has a different block than a regular H22A4, I don't think you can bolt any tranny to it except an SH tranny

Wrong, you can bolt up a base model tranny..The motors are the same, its just that the SH as ATTS on it, and the driverside axle is different. You're going to need to get the SH innershaft axle piece, and a base model tranny for it to work....

don't use any accord tranny's. the gearing from 1-2 is decent. however gears 3-5 are dogs. you might as well be running an h23a motor with that tranny.

just the same as when people run b16's or b18c's with ls tranny's. absolutely makes no sense.

and yes, the base tranny from any year h22a, any year h23a and any year f22 tranny will bolt upto the sh motor.

whats the run down on the gear ratios between h22a jdm spec.. h23 usdm spec.. and f22a usdm spec.. i have a surplus of all 3 trannys around the shop.. i had the f22a one in mind.. just because it has longer gears in it.. would be better for turbo.. or i'm thinking of just taking 5th gear out of an f22a and slapping it into an h22a trans.. any ideas?
