avic n1 wont power up....

Default avic n1 wont power up....

hi i just tried installing the system into my car last night. i hooked the two powers and the ground into the harness and all i get is the blinking red security light coming up, i cant turn the unit on or flip it up or anything. i havent hooked up the navi yet nor the speakers but i wouldnt think that would be the problem

also another question, does the gps control unit need to be plugged in in order for the deck itself to work properly

Sounds like the radio is not seeing the accessory wire. Make sure your getting 12 volts on the red wire when you turn the ignition on.

nope come to find out that box that i thought was the gps unit was actually like a hide away brain unit for the deck.. plugged that in and solved the issue
