clutch and throwing it in neutral when i hear it but it has no effect at all.. all gears feel smooth and tranny does not feel affected or any different from this. usually only does this in 1st gear.. havent heard it in second. NEVER does it in reverse or in the highway. check the VSS tried running with out the vss connected and still does it. not too sure but it seems to be coming from engine bay.. not sure. has anyone experienced anything close to this? please help.. this is my boss car and i need to fix this lol
p.s a week before he brought the car to me he mentioned he accidently filled the tranny with SYNTETHIC GEAR oil.. which is a big no no... i drained it all obviously and replaced it with honda MTF.. can this have caused damage to the tranny and made this noise? but tranny does not seem to be affect and car shifts flawlessly.. just thought i would add that.. =( help

had a friend recommend that i should check the clutch pedal adjustment because if its too tight the throw out bearing can be contacting the teeth and making a clicking sound... can this be it?.. i wont get a chance to see the car till tuesday after 4th july so i just need ideas.. thanks in advance!

its basically a clicking noise.. fast clicking that last for about 3 seconds. it randomly comes and goes.. but the only pattern i see is that it only does it on first gear take off but once the car starts moving it wont make it anymore..

well i cannot see the spring because the transmission is on the car.. but i dont think it would be the spring from the release fork.. because stepping on the clutch would have some type of affect when the noise sounds.. and it doesnt.. so i dont think its that... im starting to believe its not even tranny clutch related... they are both working flawlessly.. im gonna maybe check the mounts?.. axles?... its a weird clicking noise... ( the the type you hear from a worn cv joint) its different..

I ran into a similar problem awhile back. Kept hearing this weird rattling noise. Turned out one of the bearing inside the transmission housing went bad
