I've got an '89 Si and I was wondering if I could bolt on the larger (or so I've heard) master cylinder from an Integra (no ABS). If so, which year?

 

To do Integra you will need to do the booster too. 88-91 Civic EX is a direct bolt up and the same size as Integra. But if you want Integra it is 89-93 that you need.

Prelude Non abs 90-91 is bolt-on.
15/16 is the diameter.

 

How about the brake boosters?? Are they all the same as in, is a civic 91 dx the same as the integra non abs, or the prelud non abs???

stock 88-91 crx si/dx master cylinder is 7/8"
stock 90-91 Civic EX master cylinder is 15/16" and is a direct bolt on to the crx
stock 90-93 non abs integra is 15/16" as well but will also require that you swap out the booster
Prelude/Accord Master Cylinders will also bolt up to the stock crx/civic booster and are 15/16"

Hum..hum....

I believe the stock Rex and Civic even the Si have 13/16 M/C.
Only the CRX Si 90-91(w/4 wheel disk)have the 7/8 M/C.

A for what a bigger M/C will do....
With the same pedal travel,it meens,the M/C will supply more fluid pressure to the caliper.

Yup,they are going to be more sensitive.
