whats the cleanest way to remove paint off rims?
ok question i just traded my integra i built for an eg?
the kid i got it from had hx wheels on it painted red with a white lip lol
the car is white by the way, so it looked cheezy/pisa so i finally had some time to remove it, started yesterday at 1st...
1st was gonna use paint thinner and sand paper with the silver sponge
2nd friend told me about airplane remover
and it worked but not all of it came off?
i found out that under the red he painted it white under the white he painted it blue under the blue he painted it silver and under the silver was the stock color i wanna sand it down so that the rim is smooth but not scratched and paint them flat black what you think???

SAND-BLAST....typically 15$ a rim (which can do things sandpaper and your fingers cant do) plus the hours and hours and hours of scrubbing. thats what i did to my HXs, took one swipe with the sandpaper and said F$%! this.
Some say dont blast alluminum, but alot of people do it, including myself.
Look in your phone book and call around (yes phone books are still around ha)

if you are going to blast aluminum, you need to make sure it is plastic media or water and sand medium to relieve heat and present a better finish.
Buy the media/sand/glass/soda blaster from harbor freight. Have two friends that need it done. Charge them. And you'll get your money back.
