Window regulator or motor?
Hello HT, once again, i'm in need of assistance
The car in question my '94 5-speed 4D EX, and the problem is the driver window won't budge or open, it'll move down like half an inch (but won't go past the weather strip). In that little half inch, the window will move up and down, but won't open. So would the regulator be the cause of it not opening? or the motor itself? If it helps, all the other window's and moonroof works just fine.

Only speculating, but it doesn't sound like the typical regulator failure. this is where a repair manual comes in very handy
. if you don't have one, get one and follow the diagnostic flow for a non-functional window. things like checking power to the switch, power to the motor, resistance of the motor maybe... basically rule out the motor and anything electrical then look for mechanical failure.
aside from that you could try lubing the "runs" or grooves that the glass rides in and see if you can get the window to move with gentle manual pressure while a friend operates the switch. that may reveal more clues to the root failure.

Unfortunately, i don't have the factory repair manual. Could it be the motor going out? i mean, it'll barely move up and down, but it'll still move, and it won't open even while it's manually being pushed down by my pops while I click the switch down
...unless you foresee this being the last repair you ever make on this vehicle.
it could be the motor. do you have a multi-meter to check the electrical with? i can transcribe some from the '98-'02 FSM testing procedure later today. i'm assuming it's relatively similar.
you could go ahead and pull the door panel off if you haven't already. take a look around with a flashlight and maybe a small mirror, see what you see.
@Mufasa, when you shut your door, does it sound like something is loose? It's possible that the window is off the track and needs to be put back in place. If all the windows except for the driver's door, the switch could be bad. Open the panel and pull on the glass to see if it's loose. Good luck.
