Just a little background Im from NY and I drove my bubble to the track on Saturday for Summer slam at Raceway Park, etown.
Now to the dissapointment: Its a 94 civic dx bubble with a full 97spec jdm type r motor and tranny and a full 5 lug setup.
Car is real healthy but its only making 184hp and 127tq to the wheels making peak power at 8600 rpms lol.
I didnt get to weigh my car but its a fully equipped street car, glass all around, 5 lug setup, full interior with cargo cover, near full tank of gas and all that jive. No lightweight doors nothing cut bullshit.
Car ran a best of 14.6 @ 94mph on a 23" M&H slick.
Do I just suck at driving or is this reasonable? The car felt great but we had a lot of trouble getting it dialed in properly. Any insight on this would be helpful.

60ft was at a best of 2.1
I was on 23" m&h slicks mounted on a 15x8 jegs racing wheel at 15lbs
Launching at 7500rpms
Full time slip
r/t .476 lol
60' 2.175
330 6.178
1/8th 9.447
mph 75.12
1000 12.251
1/4 @ 14.626 94.84mph

The 60ft sucks for slicks for one. Two your mph is pretty low for the power. Either your not hitting the shifts right or your car just weighs a lot. But if its a hatch it shouldnt be any more than 2400 lbs or so so even then with that power you should be trapping more closer to 99 to 100. More practice man. Thats all I can say.
That 60' can be done on normal street tires. Drop the pressure in the tires, I think most people on M&H start around 10lbs and work their way down to find the sweet spot.
Trap speed seems a bit low as well...

Thanks guys, as stated the car had full interior plus im on 5 lug and the slick options suck for 5 lug so I had to settle for a heavy slick rim.
Btw this was my first time at the track and on slicks.
I appreciate the replies guys.

14.6 definately seems slow for your setup but I would say a lot of that has to do with your first time at the track. how many runs did you get and were you getting better with every pass?
Just for reference i have a stock jdm b16 in an ek hatch and was trapping 98 mph and ran a 14.00. this was on 14 inch drag radials and also at englishtown.
If that motor is healthy and you are on slicks you should have no problems getting it into the 13's.
Keep practicing and good luck

Can you give me some more insight to this?

not just 13s but 5x114.3 is the same as 5x4.5 wich they make tonesof 15in wheels for since its a common lug for american cars
only wheel i dont think is offerd in 5x114.3 is exospeed vpd and xpd but you can use star5 star8, a bunch of weld wheels, hole shot wheels, billet specialties wheels the list is endless
you wont find many 13in wheel for 5lug since the rotors and calipers are bigger and will have clearance problems

Just practice driving. Take it back to the dyno to make sure you are still on the same power. I was making 173whp in a full interior integra weighing 2650lb with me in it running 14.1 on street tires at E-town. You should be in the 13's with 184whp
you just need more practice on slicks...I went to Etown in my EK with a stock gsr with Headers on 16" street tires and ran 14.2 @ 94mph. Maybe you should try a run or 2 on street tires

Thanks for all the comments fellas.
well with granny shifting and that horrible 60' i wouldnt expect a whole lot out of it.
lower the tire pressure until you find the optimal pressure (your 60' should reflect this). also keep checking the tire press all the way up to before you run (in line, etc) as tire press can increase from just driving it to the lanes. and also other factors can make your tire pressure rise.
and speed shift the car and you should run a LOT faster.
Good luck!

just some practice on driving and you will see your times improve. what rpm are you shifting at?
I think the primary thing that needs to be addressed is why the mph is so low. Does the car weight 2,600lbs. or something? I went 13.97 @ 97mph in an EK DX coupe with a stock Type-R swap with I/H/E, yes the 60 foot could be better but 94mph in a hatch is too low. Something isn't right.

I would have to take a stab and say my car on that day weighed something like 2500lbs, full interior, im 216, and a near full tank of gas.
On my last pass, best pass, I went down to the third town around and noticed a scale but there was a car behind me and I couldnt really jerk over there.
