I have a da integra with a b18a1 and here recently after it runs for awhile when im driving it and i go to give it gas it cuts out and the tach starts going crazy and almost looks like the tach is working backwards. any input or help would be great, thanks! Someone told me it could be the distributer.

 

A wonky tach is usually an elecrtical problem. How long have you had this car, and how long have you driven before this started happpening?

 

i dont think that the distributor would make the tach act like that, seems more of an electrical problem as old school said.

as for the cutting out does it seem like a power cutout or a fuel cutout? i would check and make sure that your rotor is secured properly and in good condition as a start.
