thats a **** load of time and money, they mustve looked underneath your eg before they decided to steal it, search craigslist from google to locate any of your parts they are selling. i hope you get it back with minimum lost , good luck

 

i agree with akacoke i have seen many stolen parts surface on craigslist when i was out in NC do some internet searchin and forum searchin on various honda forums you`ll find it man ....wish you luck man

Thanks guys. I've been on CL a bunch and all my friends are on the hunt as well. There was no security system. It was litterally dragged out of my backyard...not driven, since there are skidmarks though the grass.

 

Lowe's sells an engraving tool, so if or when you recover the car/parts, engraving some kind of symbol,initials, or something to aid in identifying parts will better your chances of having lowlifes like this in prison

 

I thought of doing this. Either put it somewhere unseen/noticeable or some type of logo that wouldn't be obvious it's a "security tag".

 

I etch the VIN number into everything for my ride

Thanks for keeping your eyes out guys. I still haven't heard/seen anything and Jtown PD haven't given me any fedback at all if they've found out anything either.

I thought about doing this when I first started this project but I live in a quiet are where litteraly ZERO cars have been stolen(to my knowledge) for as long as I remember so never really gave any serious thought into it. Never thought any of my vehicles would get stolen...especially out of my backyard.

I'm going to update with more details about the shell/swap/parts to differentiate from others...to help find anything that's for sale floating around or on someone else's car.

I got a random text at 2am the other day...and a name. Went to the kids house and poof...the shitbag had my entire swap and a shitload of other parts on his Integra. I provided reciepts and the cops tossed him in a cell. Things are still in the works...but lots of progress was made.

 

Sounds like he was local to you?
Seems like the cops or judge should make a bigger example out of him.
