i bought the car a year ago. front speakers were not working. one day all that sudden they started working and quit right away. my front speakers briefly showed me their presence several times. so today i diagnosed them by taking advantage of my good rear wiring and speakers.
here is my experience.
speaker test.
i connected front speakers to the rear wiring. no sound. i connected them to the front wiring right after the head unit. no sound. i also did a 9v battery test on the front speakers. no reaction. so front speakers are bad.
head unit test.
i connected one of the rear speakers to the all front and rear wiring one by one right after the head unit. it worked perfectly at every time. so my had unit is good.
front wiring test.
i connected the good speaker on the right front door. it worked for two seconds. then no sound. i did the same thing on the left front door and same thing happened. it worked for two second and then stopped for good.
UNEXPECTEDLY this front wiring test drained my car`s battery. it did not happen because of using power without running the car. during the whole diagnose the total amount of power usage was not more than 10 minutes. my battery was completely dead. it must be related to the front wiring.
so i want to rewire the whole front speakers.
so what kind of a wiring problem is this? killed my speakers and drains my battery.
any ideas or experiences?

by the way i forgot to mention the other electrical weirdness going on in my car. the battery light on the indicator comes on and off. sometimes i would accelerate and it would go away. or turning the headlights off would also help. but i ve never had any starting issues so far. my seat belts slide over the door. passenger side one works once a year. it has its own mind. driver side seat belt sometimes will get stock in the middle of its way. cigarette lighter`s light doesnt work. nor do my AC. i have no idea about the AC but just wanted to mention.
