i bought a 97 gsr, engine was knocking i think the bottom end is done for. i have a spare b18b1 engine, soo i was thinking of doing ls/vtec would this set up work? nd what are my disadvantages of ls/vtec and how would i be able to make this work...maybe shooting me in a direction of a forum thankx

i would just fix your current bottom end. You can do it pretty easily but to make it reliable you will end up having to upgrade parts on the bottom end, get an LS conversion kit, get your gsr head tapped and plugged for an LSV setup and get it tuned. I would just rebuild your gsr bottom end or do at least a mild build on the ls bottom end but as stated above alot of threads on here on how to do an LSVTEC from start to finish on here.
