Default RSX TYPE S head on 2.4L ivtec block

currently this is the monster of all set ups and I am doing it.

Sleeved .20 over 2.4L block with fully balanced bottom end with Portflow TYPE S head with custom turbo kit.

in my striped TYPE S this should be a killer set up hope to get some pics up soon.

what I am wondering is if the new Accord has a K motor or the V6 in the same car do ya think it may be possible to use a combonation of different mounts to put the V6 in the RSX

Wow, sounds like a monster setup. Can you give any more specifics on it? What kind of turbo? CR? Expected rev limit? R/S ratio?

Definitely keep us updated

The regular accord is using a K24...the V6 engine is completely different

I know the V6 is different. But the K24 is the same size externally as the K20, so if you can fit a K24 in an RSX and you can fit both a K24 and a V6 in the new Accord, would you be able to use the mounts from the V6 Accord to put the V6 in an RSX. Just a crazy thought

the accord v6 is a sohc.. and the k20's are dohc, wouldn't that be a problem already? in terms of fitting it in the engine bay?

you not going to have fun revving that 99mm stroke crank let alone trying to keep the thing from breaking itself apart...but id like to see it so good luck to you building the 2.4

fyi the honda element is rated at 160 hp and 161 ft lbs of torque

Ok here we go..

the k24 is identical to the k20 all it is, is a decked block from the factory, AEBS is in current development on sleeving this monster block.

basically a TYPE S with factory deck way actually same boreso this time honda decked the block and didnt go with a bigger bore. We will see what happens I will kepp updates every week

2.0L = 86 x 86 square block
2.4L = 87 x 99 super under square block

undersquare block = street motor, good for torque, bad for high RPM
oversquare block = good for high hp high rpm...(example is an Formula 1 motor)

what kind of rods and pistons will you be using? so AEBS is sleeving your block? or is AEBS building one for themselves?

Damn, if you want insight, get more specific... Which rod/piston combo ? You're going .2 over or 20 over ? Who's doing the work ?

Everyone is waiting in awe for answers....
