Default Merge collector help.

I just finished modifying a header for a miata to fit since it was meant for RHD and the steering shaft was hitting one of the runners. What is the best possible way to seal the merge collectors on the inside. I've welded about 85% of what I can get but still am getting an exhaust leak from that area.

Anyone can give me some tips of the best possible way to tackle this thing?

Thanks.

turn the gas way up, stick the tungsten way out and go to town...
thats really the best i can help with, i hate that part. if you have a welding chamber would be easier. or you can get a pencil torch to get in the tight spots.
good luck!

It's alright, just wanted some suggestions. Figured that if I give a lot of welding expertise I'd get something in return if I needed some help. Guess not in this forum

Sometimes its not possible to weld the back side of the merge, na manifolds usually, then you have to use slips or weld the inside.

Not possible to completely weld slip fit merge collectors to the runners. Try a double slip or get a formed collector with an internal cone you weld on first. When you weld slip on merge collectors you reduce the ability of the tube to equally expand as they heat up and thus leak like a siv.
