94 accord vtec.. rattling when idling

94 accord vtec.. rattling when idling

when on P,N,R no sound, but when on drive at full stop...rattles. but when i pull off sound goes away..
it can be the heat shield or need new motor mounts. HELP?

heat sheilds on teh manifold or the converter. mounts would mostly provide a shaking thunk. that would be when you go from R to D...... so yeah, heat sheilds.....

Recomend using an automotive stethescope to pinpoint the location of the noise. Proper diagnostics combined with the appropriate repair is almost always cheaper than guessing.
