Default Can i use OBD2 Gsr ECU with OBD1 Gsr Motor?

i have a OBD1 gsr motor in my Civic si...im wondering if i can use a OBD2 Gsr ecu so i wont have to use a stepdown harness and use the OBD1 P72

Please let me know if this is possible. i do know that it will look for a crank sensor which i dont have so i know the CEL will be on so thats ok.

Thanks in advance fellow members!

It will work, but you'll need to add a CKF sensor or perform the CKF trick.

so then only the CKF trick is needed ? if i dont do the trick will anything be wrong or perform differently or will i just have the CEL on the dash showing and thats it ?

It'll barely run if it's throwing a CKF code.
